Speedhouse dancing in the heat
The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series headed to the Autodromo di Vallelunga near the Italian capital of Rome for the fourth time in the championship’s history. A European heat wave caused air temperatures to reach 40 degrees Celsius, making the NASCAR GP Italy a real challenge for all the drivers. With temperatures of up to 70 degrees Celsius in the car, all Speedhouse Racing drivers prepared for a unique racing event under the scorching sun. While driver-owner Lucas Lasserre took home one podium and two top-5 results in EuroNASCAR PRO, Ulysse Delsaux took the lead in the Junior Trophy standings for drivers under the age of 25.
American SpeedFest X in Brands Hatch
Speedhouse Racing stands for « Racing, Style and Good Times » and there is no better place to combine all these key values of Luca Lasserre’s racing team than Brands Hatch. Home to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Grand Prix of the UK and the hugely popular American SpeedFest, the track once again provided some amazing racing, but also attracted tens of thousands of NASCAR fans to watch the action on the tricky 1.9 kilometer long Indy Circuit. All three Speedhouse Racing Ford Mustangs were on track and the six drivers enjoyed the unique atmosphere of Brands Hatch.
The power of family: Lucas Lasserre back in the winner’s circle
SpeedHouse Racing owner Lucas Lasserre made it to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for the first time since 2018 as the Frenchman won EuroNASCAR PRO Round 2 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. With his family by his side at the 4.005 kilometer long track, it was a « family victory » for the NWES veteran who relied on his mother’s call on the radio as she was the spotter for the #64 Ford Mustang during the EuroNASCAR season opener. With his son Gianni in charge of his father’s logistics in Spain, the race win was special for the entire SpeedHouse Racing team.
